Euro nets Dream the Future

About Premium Content’s Dream the Future

Broadcasters across Europe have acquired Dream the Future and Freightened, two factual titles from Paris-based financier and distributor About Premium Content (APC).

Mediaset in Italy, German-language channel SRF in Switzerland and Prima in the Czech Republic have acquired docuseries Dream the Future (10×52′), which explores the near future.

Commissioned by Planete+, part of the Canal+ Group, it is produced by Update Productions and Bonne Pioche and represented worldwide by APC.

The distribution arm of financier APC will also shop the second season of the doc, which is currently in production ahead of a March 2017 delivery.

Meanwhile, investigative film Freightened (1×52′) has been picked up by DR in Denmark, VARA in the Netherlands, LTV Latvia, SBS in Australia and Medialaan in Belgium.

These sales come after YLE in Finland, RTBF in Belgium, Austria’s ORF and Rai Uno in Italy were among the broadcasters to board the special earlier this year.

The doc goes behind the scenes of the sea shipping business and claims to reveal the mechanics and perils of a powerful, secretive and highly unregulated industry that holds the key to our global economy.
