ESNA expands Hurford-Jones remit

Endemol Shine North America (ESNA) has promoted the unscripted exec who oversees its MasterChef franchise in the US.

Georgie Hurford-Jones, who joined ESNA in 2015, has been named senior VP of unscripted original series and specials and reports to DJ Nurre, exec VP of unscripted original programming at ESNA.

Hurford-Jones, who previously worked at Simon Cowell’s Syco TV, will continue to oversee ESNA’s MasterChef franchise. She executive produces both the main show and its spin-off MasterChef Junior.

The exec is also helping to lead production on forthcoming series Family Food Fight for ABC and will oversee all of the studio’s upcoming unscripted specials.

Hurford-Jones, who was formerly senior VP of unscripted programming, served as an executive producer on Endemol Shine’s recent series Best.Cover.Ever for YouTube.

Prior to joining Endemol Shine, she oversaw NBC’s America’s Got Talent, having launched original show Britain’s Got Talent on ITV in the UK. Other credits fellow ITV pair Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and Ant & Dec’s Gameshow Marathon.
