Escapade Media wades into Cloudy River

Cloudy River explores modern open relationships

Australian distributor Escapade Media has secured rest-of-the-world rights to an online series that follows a pansexual artist and her musician lover whose open relationship is put to the test when they move in together.

Backed by production investment from Screen Australia, Belinda Dean’s Aussie prodco Unko produced Cloudy River (6×8’), which stars Rowan Davie, Rebecca Robertson and Indigo Sparke.

Co-written and co-directed by Sophie Hardcastle, and Charlie Ford, the series explores the joy and the pain of the couple’s boundary-pushing relationship,

Dean said: “Cloudy River is a modern romance about young lovers who are not confined by the traditional paradigms of love. It reflects conversations being had all around the world. We’re so grateful to have the support of Escapade Media to help us play a part in those internationally.”
