eOne elevates Long

Transatlantic producer and distributor Entertainment One (eOne) has promoted the head of its US alternative programming division to president of global unscripted television.

Tara Long, who joined eOne in 2012 and is based in LA, will lead the expansion of eOne’s unscripted business on the international stage.

Long’s credits include WE tv’s Growing Up Hip Hop, MTV’s Ex on the Beach and A&E’s Biggie: The Life of Notorious B.I.G.

She has also forged partnerships with the likes of Creature Films, Crush+Lab and Fired Up Films, as with talent including will.i.am, Drake, Master P and Nelly.

Her elevation follows the addition of Toby Dormer, Marnie Sugarman and Allison Brough to eOne’s Canadian unscripted television arm in November and the firm’s acquisition of UK company Whizz Kid Entertainment earlier last year.

“Tara is a force in the industry and continues to hit it out of the park with an incredible track record of bold new series and commissions, and the roster of creative talent she brings into eOne,” said eOne president and chief content officer Mark Gordon.
