eOne delivers Piazza partnership

MIPCOM: Canadian producer Entertainment One (eOne) has signed a multi-year production partnership with the executive producer behind Lost Girl and Dark Matter.

eOne is linking up with Vanessa Piazza and her fledgling company Piazza Entertainment, with initial projects including an adaptation of Gail Simone’s comic series Crosswind and anthology show Masked, which has Joseph Mallozzi attached as showrunner.

The partnership encompasses Piazza’s television projects, for which eOne will serve as the studio and will control worldwide rights.

Piazza previously developed and executive produced the international hit supernatural series Lost Girl and served as executive producer on the first two seasons of Dark Matter, currently airing worldwide.

Piazza said: “With the recent launch of my company, the partnership with eOne will only strengthen my ability to continue to do what I love, fostering relationships and working with top-tier creatives.
