eOne, Cedar Park sign first-look deal

Transatlantic producer and distributor Entertainment One (eOne) has agreed a two-year first-look deal with David Ayer and Chris Long’s new production company, Cedar Park Entertainment.

The agreement includes scripted and unscripted programming and will see Ayer and Long develop and produce original programming with eOne.

Ayer most recently directed Netflix feature Bright and is attached to write and direct its sequel, Bright 2.

He also wrote and directed 2016 blockbuster Suicide Squad, while his other directorial credits include Fury, Sabotage, End of Watch and Street Kings. Ayer also wrote the screenplays for Su-571, The Fast & The Furious, Dark Blue, S.W.A.T. and Training Day.

Long most recently served as programming chief at Audience Network, where he spent 18 years. His TV work includes scripted comedy, drama, non-scripted, music, sports and documentary programming, with credits on Mr Mercedes, Kingdom, You Me Her, Religion of Sports, Loudermilk and Hit the Road. He is also attached to the upcoming Condor and Give Us This Day.

eOne’s slate of TV programming includes Jean Marc Vallée’s HBO drama Sharp Objects, which premieres on July 8 and stars Amy Adams, and The Rookie, starring Nathan Fillion, which arrives on ABC this year.
