Endemol takes Steps

Endemol has taken on distribution rights to UK broadcaster ITV’s upcoming psychological thriller Thirteen Steps Down, based on the best-selling novel by Ruth Rendell.

The 2×60’ drama, currently being filmed on location in London and Dublin, is produced by Parallel Films and adapted by Adrian Hodges (My Week With Marilyn, Primeval).

It tells the story of a fitness machine repairman whose obsessions with an infamous serial killer and a local model threaten to turn him into a murderer.

Thirteen Steps Down stars Geraldine James (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows), Luke Treadaway (Brothers of the Head) and Gemma Jones (Harry Potter, Merlin). Endemol Worldwide Distribution will offer the show to buyers for the first time at Mipcom later this year.
