Endemol Shine makes Critical hire

Endemol Shine North America (ESNA) has hired an executive from US producer Critical Content to work across its production department.

Brad Carr has been named senior VP of production at ESNA and joins from Critical Content (formerly Relativity Television), where he served in the same role.

Carr will lead all day-to-day production at ESNA, including the US versions of MasterChef and MasterChef Junior on Fox plus forthcoming ABC show Family Food Fight.

He managed more than 40 TV and digital productions for Critical Content, which he joined in 2010. His credits include Home Free on Fox and Catfish: The TV Show for MTV.

Carr has also previously served as a producer on US versions of several Endemol Shine formats, including Deal or No Deal. He will now report to Rob Day, exec VP of production for ESNA.

ESNA is behind series such as Big Brother (CBS), Ink Master (Paramount Network), Swamp People (History) and The Real Housewives of Atlanta (Bravo).

Relativity Media’s TV operation was relaunched as an indie studio with a new name in 2016, having emerged from bankruptcy proceedings a year earlier.
