Linda Giambrone, who was previously exec VP and head of production for Shine America, becomes exec VP of unscripted production at Endemol Shine USA and will oversee programming. She had been Shine America’s top unscripted production exec since 2011 and previously worked on Dancing with the Stars while at BBC Worldwide Productions.

Meanwhile, Georgie Hurford-Jones joins from Syco TV as senior VP of unscripted programming, having been responsible for NBC’s America’s Got Talent. She also launched the UK version of the show on ITV and was in charge of the UK broadcaster’s series Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

Among a number of production appointments, Rachel Dax, Shine America’s VP of production, has been promoted to senior VP of unscripted production and reports to Giambrone. Her remit includes day-to-day production responsibility for unscripted on series such as The Island for NBC.

Rob Day, Endemol USA’s exec VP of production, will continue in the role for Endemol Shine USA and oversee production on daytime syndicated series Steve Harvey and Bullseye.

Other programming staff changing roles include Robin Feinberg, who becomes senior VP of unscripted and continues to oversee day-to-day programming for series such as Fake Off and Restaurant Startup. He was most recently VP of unscripted for Shine America and is joined by Michael Brooks, previously senior VP of programming at Shine, who takes up the same role at the merged company.

Meanwhile, Michael Weinberg has been promoted to senior VP of development, having held a similar role for Endemol USA. He will work alongside Chris Culvenor, who was previously senior VP of unscripted development at Shine America and takes the same role for Endemol Shine USA.

Laura Gibson and Christopher Potts have also joined the group as VPs of unscripted development, reporting to Culvenor. Gibson arrives from AOC Productions, where she was head of development, while Potts previously worked at Lionsgate’s Banca Studio, where he served as VP of development, overseeing shows including Celebrity Liar for The CW and Christina Milian: Turned Up for E!.

Endemol Shine North America, which recently closed its in-house formats division, produces a slew of unscripted shows including Big Brother for CBS, MasterChef for Fox, NBC’s The Biggest Loser, Wipeout on ABC and series such as Fake Off for TruTV and Aloha Vet for Nat Geo Wild.

Endemol Shine USA president of unscripted television Eden Gaha said the new team was currently “developing what we believe will be the next wave of unscripted hits.” The company appointed Rob Smith as exec VP and head of unscripted TV in March.
