Encripta takes NTV dramas into Lat Am

NTV action series Five Minutes of Silence

Russian network NTV has agreed a distribution deal with Brazilian distributor Encripta for the latter to represent five Russian dramas throughout Latin America.

The series are period drama The Sacrificing, crime thriller The Operative, action series Five Minutes of Silence and two procedurals, Nevsky and Mukhtar.

Encripta will target deals for the series in Lat Am with online, free and pay TV platforms.

Timur Weinstein, general producer at NTV, said the series all feature “strong female characters, real-life stories and solid crime narratives,” which he said were popular on the international media market.

In related news, NTV’s action crime drama Wolf Trap will represent Russia at MipTV’s online drama buyers’ summit, which will be made available to registered delegates today after the event was cancelled earlier this month.
