Eccho ties knot with Turkish comedy

Eccho Rights’ culture-clash comedy New Bride

Scandinavia-based distributor Eccho Rights has picked up the rights to a Turkish comedy series about the culture clash between a woman and her husband’s family.

New Bride follows a cosmopolitan young woman who runs into trouble when she meets the family of the man of her dreams in East Turkey and experiences their unusual traditions.

It comes from Istanbul-based Surec Film and began airing in Turkey on Show TV earlier this month. Eccho has previously worked with Surec on the Turkish drama Bitter Sweet Life and Cherry Season.
