E! Entertainment greenlights reality

US cablenet E! Entertainment is set to launch a reality series about a pair of local celebrities in Cranston, Rhode Island.

Meet The Frasers (10×30’) is being produced by MGM-owned Evolution Media and revolves around Matt Fraser and his pageant queen girlfriend Alexa Papigiotis.

The show will follow the lives and careers of the couple, as well as their family, which adds another eight members to the show’s billing.

Amy Introcaso-Davis, executive VP of development and production for E!, said: “This series offers a hilarious look inside a loving, dynamic and always outspoken family. Matt and Alexa are home-grown celebrities on the rise, with personalities big enough to take over the small city of Cranston, Rhode Island, and beyond.”

Meet the Frasers is an Evolution Media production with Mark Burnett, Barry Poznick; Douglas Ross, Alex Baskin, Lisa Tucker, Brian McCarthy and Meredith Prunkard serving as executive producers for MGM Television. Jill Dictrow co-exec produces.

The show is set to premiere in 2020.
