Dynamic pulls in Pivot exec

US producer and distributor Dynamic Television has appointed a former scripted programming exec at US cablenet Pivot TV as its new senior VP of content.

Holly Hines will identify, develop and sell new scripted series and miniseries to networks in the US, UK, Canada and Australia and oversee the firm’s series along with Dynamic’s MDs and partners Daniel March and Klaus Zimmermann. She will be based in Los Angeles and report to March.

March and Zimmermann said Hines would enable Dynamic to “pursue more coproduction opportunities and accelerate our original content initiatives.”

She most recently oversaw the production and development of original series at Pivot including Fortitude with Sky Atlantic and Please Like Me with Australia’s ABC.

Before that Hines was VP of scripted development at FremantleMedia North America, and has also worked at Fuse, TLC, Bull’s Eye Entertainment and Reveille.

Dynamic is currently coproducing and distributing crime thrillers Cape Town and Trapped, having sold drama Z Nation around the world. The company, which was set up in 2013 by March, is headquartered in Los Angeles with offices in Paris and Berlin.
