Dubuc upped at A+E

A+E Networks has promoted Nancy Dubuc to a newly created role and expanded her remit.

Nancy Dubuc

Dubuc, previously president and general manager of History and Lifetime, has been named president, entertainment and media, A+E Networks.

In the new position Dubuc will oversee content creation, brand development and marketing for the entire A+E channel portfolio.

She will also oversee A+E Networks’ International and Digital divisions with president Bob DeBitetto and executive VPs Dan Suratt and Steve Ronson now reporting into her. Dubuc will continue to report to president and CEO Abbe Raven.

Dubuc has overseen significant growth in History both in the US, where its Hatfield & McCoys series smashed cable audience records earlier this year, and internationally where it has launched in six different languages in India among other territories. Lifetime has been rebranded and increased its audiences ahead of a global roll out that began in August with a launch in Canada.

During a decade with A+E, Dubuc has been senior VP of non-fiction programming and new media content and senior VP of programming for A&E Network. She began her career as director of history programming for History.

Raven said: “Nancy is one of the most dynamic and creative executives working in media today. Having all our global brands and content creation under her purview brings a natural synergy given her track record of success.”

Dubuc is due to deliver a keynote at Mipcom in Cannes next month.
