Eight Days that Made Rome focuses on the Roman Empire

Chinese VoD platform BiliBili has acquired the rights to a range of factual programming from UK-based funder and distributor Drive, including an historical documentary on ancient Rome.

Eight Days that Made Rome (8×60’) is produced by October Films and Krempelwood and explores the Roman Empire era.

Other programming Bilibili has added includes Marilyn: The Auction of a Lifetime (1×60), produced by Oxford Films; Building Star Trek (1×60’), from Yap Films; How to Build a Human (1×60’), made by Little Gem; and Super Scary Plane Landings (1×60’), from Peacock Productions.

Finally, Volatile Earth (3×60’), produced by Blink Films, and Why Are We Here? (4×60’), from Tern TV, have also been picked up.

Chinese broadcaster HuBu Media Group has also acquired the free TV rights to natural disaster docuseries Volatile Earth. The deals were brokered by Drive head of sales Laura Masson.
