DRG has taken a trio new titles produced by WildBear, building on similar deals it struck with the firm in 2017 and 2016.

DRG, part of Nordic Entertainment Group, agreed the deal with WildBear through the latter’s agent, Edwina Thring of Wild Thring Media, who also secured the lead broadcaster for each title.

The new series, totalling 16 hours, are A Royal Tour of the 20th Century (4×60′), Titans of the 20th Century (6×60′) and Jungle War (6×60′).

A Royal Tour of the 20th Century was commissioned by AB Droits in France and follows the British royal family, and especially the world’s most travelled head of state, Queen Elizabeth, as they influence and participate in a wealth of defining historical moments.

Titans of the 20th Century, meanwhile, is a biographical series telling the story of the most powerful figures in the last century, focusing on figures such as Winston Churchill, Joseph Stalin, Franklin D Roosevelt and Adolf Hitler.

The series, which has been pre-sold to N-TV in Germany, starts at the end of the First World War, with each episode covering a pivotal period up until 1949.

Lastly, Jungle War has been pre-sold to Histoire in France and examines conflict in some of the world’s most hostile and challenging environments.
