DRG, Ross bring back This is Your Life

Presenter and chatshow host Jonathan Ross will front the new This Is Your Life

UK distributor DRG has linked up with TV presenter and chatshow host Jonathan Ross to relaunch an iconic primetime entertainment show.

This is Your Life is currently being redeveloped with several UK broadcasters in discussions to take the new version.

The show surprises celebrity guests by presenting them with a book of their achievements and career memories in front of a studio audience.

It was created and hosted by Ralph Edwards in the US in 1952 and ran for a total of more than 40 seasons in the UK, airing on both the BBC and ITV.

In the UK, the show began on BBC1 hosted by Eamonn Andrews and moved to ITV with the same presenter in 1969. Michael Aspel took over after Andrews died in 1987 and was with the show when it returned to the BBC in 1994.

This is Your Life has previously been remade in multiple territories such as Australia, New Zealand and Denmark and was recently renewed in France.
