Drama alliance for Gurin and Jarowskij

US reality production outfit The Gurin Company, set up by the man behind the US version of Weakest Link, and Swedish producer Jarowskij have teamed up to produce low-cost drama for the international market.

Gurin Jarowskij USA (GJUSA) is a independent entity, and will be run outside of the operations of both Jarowskij and The Gurin Company, run by US producer Phil Gurin.

{We formed this company as an answer to every network’s concern that production costs are spiralling out of control,{ said Gurin, whose credits include exec producer of both the primetime and daytime US versions of The Weakest Link.

{We have devised a system that could revolutionise dramatic series production without sacrificing quality.{ Gurin termed this new drama production technique {The Jarowskij Method,{ and said that he would soon be introducing it to US broadcasters.

{Jarowskij's method is exciting, and as the various US companies are exposed to what they can do, I am sure we will be able to build a successful new enterprise together exclusively for dramatic series.{

Jarowskij's director of international business affairs Gunilla Molund added: {We've had numerous conversations with US-based companies about our production model, and Phil was ultimately the person who we felt could make the business work the best.{

The new venture has several projects in developments but no details are yet available.
