Richard Bond spent six years with London-based Raw, during which time he was instrumental in growing its slate of factual drama, including Conviction: Murder at the Station for BBC2 and The People Next Door and Cyberbully for Channel 4.

He now joins the team at Endemol Shine-owned Dragonfly, which has recently produced Ambulance for BBC1 and The Great British Benefits Handout for Channel 5, among others.

Bond will report to Kim Shillinglaw, former controller of BBC2 and now director of factual for Endemol Shine UK with oversight of Dragonfly, Darlow Smithson Productions, Tigress and Dragonfly West.

Shillinglaw said: “I have long admired Richard’s creativity and drive for innovation so I am delighted he is joining as creative director.

“He is a master of storytelling, unconstrained by conventional genres as he demonstrated so brilliantly with shows like Blackout and Cyberbully.”

Bond added: “I’ve had a great time at Raw and they’re a fantastic company, but Kim is one of the best in the business and I just couldn’t turn down the opportunity to work with her.

“Dragonfly has an enviable reputation for making ground-breaking television and I am thrilled to be joining at such an exciting time in their development.”
