Disney Junior adopts more Muppet Babies

Muppet Babies features younger versions of The Muppet Show characters

Disney Junior has renewed three of its animated series, giving a second season to CG show Muppet Babies, which premiered in March, while Vampirina and Puppy Dog Pals will return for third runs.

Muppet Babies is produced by OddBot in association with Disney Junior and The Muppets Studio.

The show follows the antics of young versions of characters Kermit the Frog, Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Animal and Summer Penguin.

Vampirina is inspired by Disney Publishing children’s book series Vampirina Ballerina. It is produced by Brown Bag Films in association with Disney Junior.

Chris Nee, who executive produced the first two seasons, will serve as consulting producer for season three, with Chelsea Beyl and Norton Virgien as co-executive producers. Beyl is also story editor.

Vampirina features the voices of Lauren Graham, James Van Der Beek and Isabella Crovetti as the Hauntley family, friendly vampires who relocated from Transylvania to Pennsylvania.

Finally, Puppy Dog Pals is created by comedian and actor Harland Williams and premiered in April 2017.

Williams also serves as consulting producer with Sean Coyle (The Awesomes, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) as executive producer. The series is a produced by Wild Canary in association with Disney Junior.

It follows two fun-loving pug puppies, Bingo and Rolly, whose thrill-seeking appetites take them on daily adventures around their neighbourhood and beyond.
