Disney Junior’s Fancy Nancy returns in October

Disney Junior has ordered a third season of animated children’s series Fancy Nancy ahead of its season two premiere.

The series follows a six-year-old named whose imagination and enthusiasm transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Music is a central element in the series, with most episodes featuring new original songs from different genres. Fancy Nancy is based on the books by Jane O’Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser.

The series is executive produced and directed by Emmy-nominated Jamie Mitchell, while Krista Tucker is series developer, coproducer and story editor. The songs are written by Matthew Tishler to music composed by TJ Hill. The series is a Disney Television Animation production.

The second season of Fancy Nancy premieres on October 4 on Disney Channel and on DisneyNOW.
