Disney cooks up Friedman deal

Disney Channel has agreed an overall deal with writer/producer Eric Friedman that will see him create and develop new projects exclusively for the network.

It expands Friedman’s near 10-year affiliation with Disney, having written or produced five comedy series for the Mouse House.

Most recently, Friedman was executive producer and showrunner of Bizaardvark, which is set to end after three seasons. New episodes will continue to roll out through 2019 on Disney Channel.

He also created and executive produced Disney XD’s Crash & Bernstein and was a writer on Disney Channel’s Austin & Ally, the animated series Teamo Supremo, as well as Disney XD’s I’m in the Band.
