Disney XD adds Matt Hatter

Disney XD in Benelux has picked up two seasons of UK/Canadian animated series Matt Hatter Chronicles to air in 2014.

The kids’ net will begin airing the first season of the CGI action-adventure series in spring next year across the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Dutch-speaking Belgium.

The toon follows the adventures of a young boy who can travel between dimensions and is produced by UK prodco Platinum Films and Toronto-based Dream Mill, with animation from Arc Productions.

The Disney XD deal follows pan-regional broadcaster’s Megamax’s recent pick up of the toon, which has now been sold into over 80 countries worldwide, according to distributor Platinum.
