UKTV Dynamo lights Discovery Lat Am

Discovery Channel has picked up a factual entertainment series fronted by UK magician Dynamo – one among a raft of sales for UK indie Passion Distribution in Latin America.

Dynamo: Magician Impossible (12×60′) will air on Discovery across Latin America, having previously sold to 147 territories since beginning on UKTV in 2011.

The channel has also acquired one-off specials on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), I Am Jazz (1×60′) and Extraordinary Moms (1×60′), as well as Raw TV’s Strictly Soulmates (4×60′) and both seasons of Scripps Networks International’s Restaurant Stakeout (19×60′).

Also in the region, Fox Life has bought season one of The Travel Channel’s Man V Food Nation (25×30′) along with its two one-hour specials, as well as season two of The Antonio Treatment (13×30′) and season seven of Design Star (9×60′), both of which were produced for Scripps.

Meanwhile, Brazil’s Globosat has picked up OWN content, including Finding Sarah: From Royalty to the Real World (6×60′), season one of In the Bedroom With Dr Laura Berman (13×60′) and Searching For… (10×60′), also taken from Passion by Mexican educational broadcast network Once TV.
