Discovery encounters more UFOs

Discovery Communications has extended the run of popular UFO documentary series Close Encounters into a second season for its channels in Canada and the US.

Discovery Channel Canada and Science Channel in the US will both air the 14×30′ second season, which is produced by Toronto-based Newroad Media.

The series explores some of the most mystifying UFO sightings from around the world and uses live-action CGI to create dramatic re-enactments and includes interviews from witnesses.

The show will be distributed internationally by Passion Distribution, which has already sold the first 13-part season into more than 200 countries. Discovery Networks International picked up the show for its channels in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia.
