Digimon, Daltons move to Maxx

MIPCOM: German free-to-air channel ProSieben Maxx has continued its shopping spree by adding two properties to its daytime children’s block Yep!.

It has acquired first-run free-to-air rights to Saban animé series Digimon Fusion, including the 30 latest episodes. The show will be stripped Monday to Friday at 16.10 from November 10.

The second pick-up is animated series The Daltons (78×7’), from French prodco Xilam.

Aimed at six- to 12-year-old boys, the series is adapted from the Lucky Luke comic books by Morris and Goscinny, in which the Daltons feature as bumbling outlaws. The new series is due to air on Yep! in the first quarter of 2015, making its FTA premiere.

The deals follow the acquisition of animé series One Piece from Japanese producer Toei Animation (Dragonball) for the kids’ block last month.
