DHX promotes distribution duo

Canadian children’s outfit DHX Media has promoted two of its executives working within its global distribution division.

Darcee McCartney and Rebecca Lugo have both been promoted to sales managers, reporting to Jerry Diaz, VP of distribution.

Toronto-based McCartney, who has been with DHX for seven years and was previously senior manager of client operations, will oversee Central Eastern Europe, Poland, Russia, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Middle East and Africa.

Lugo, meanwhile, has a remit across Latin America, Brazil, US Hispanic, local US digital, Ireland and in-flight. She is also based out of Toronto and has been with the Canuck firm for five years, having previously been a sales associate.

In February, UK-based children’s sales house Jetpack Distribution strengthened its team by hiring Sophie Prigent from DHX for sales across all French-speaking territories, Central Eastern Europe, Greece, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
