Thom Chapman, who C21 reported had left Toonbox last week, has resurfaced at DHX and will be responsible for DHX’s sales to English-speaking Canada and the Asia Pacific territories.

Chapman was previously VP of business development and sales at Toonbox, where he oversaw financing, PR, sales, deliveries and advertising for the company’s animated projects.

A spokeswoman was unable to clarify whether Chapman has replaced Craig McGillivray, who has been territory manager at DHX since 2009, or if he will work alongside him in sales across English-speaking Canada and the Asia Pacific territories.

DHX’s catalogue includes 8,500×30′ episodes of children’s content, including Yo Gabba Gabba!, Caillou, Inspector Gadget and Johnny Test.

Steven DeNure, president and chief operating officer at DHX Media, said: “Thom has a terrific track record in both the creative and business sides of animation and he will be a great asset to our sales team as we continue to forge relationships in the key markets of Canada and Asia Pacific.”
