AI specialist Deep Fusion Films pushes deeper into US market with ARC Partners venture

Collin Reno and Ivo Fischer

UK production company and artificial intelligence specialist Deep Fusion Films has agreed a strategic management partnership with ARC Partners in the US.

ARC Partners, led by founder and partner Collin Reno in New York and co-founder and partner Ivo Fischer in LA, provides management and advisory services to US and UK studios, branded entertainment companies, production firms and creative talent.

Under the partnership, ARC and Deep Fusion will “expand collaborative networks across the US, build strategic relationships with buyers and production partners, and further bolster Deep Fusion’s internationally recognised leadership in AI policy, ethics and legislation,” the companies said.

Benjamin Field, co-founder and CEO of Deep Fusion, said the company is seeking to work with “people who are not afraid to break with tradition to forge a new pathway” like Reno and Fischer.

Deep Fusion was founded in 2023 by Field and Jamie Anderson and has produced content including feature-length docs Hammer: Heroes, Legends & Monsters for Sky and Hunt: We Need to Talk About James.

It is also the company behind podcast series Virtually Parkinson, hosted by an AI version of the late British chatshow host Michael Parkinson.

The company is focussed on “responsible AI” and has authored several policy papers on AI, establishing itself as a key contributor to national and international governments, working groups and roundtable discussions.

This work seeks to resolve the emerging ethical, legal and sustainability challenges around the use of AI with the objective of creating “a fair and equitable environment” for the application of the new tech.

In what is believed to be an industry first, Deep Fusion’s genAI workflow has now been offered insurance, enabling its clients and partners to collaborate with the company knowing their risks are managed, ethically, creatively, legally and commercially.

“Deep Fusion has grown rapidly over the past few months and, as we enter this new frontier of media innovation, we need to work with people who see a different way of working within the traditional landscape,” said Field.

Reno said: “Deep Fusion’s unique approach – where cutting-edge technology meets compelling storytelling, underpinned by a strong ethical commitment – really stood out to us.”

“Their blend of creativity and innovation aligns perfectly with our expertise in guiding clients through change and building strategic partnerships. Together, we’re focused on supporting Deep Fusion’s ambitious initiatives, unlocking new opportunities, and thoughtfully shaping the future of content in an evolving media landscape.”
