Globo to host Upfront, discuss int'l copro, Globoplay strategy at Content Americas
Brazilian broadcast giant Globo is set to present several forthcoming productions at Content Americas next week during an Upfront, while its international coproduction strategy will also be discussed.

Pablo Ghiglione, head of international coproductions, and Guga Valente, head of streamer Globoplay’s content strategy, will feature in a Content Americas panel to discuss Globo and Globoplay’s goals and strategies on January 23.
The opening day of Content Americas will also see Globo preview telenovelas such as Rebirth and Family is Everything (both working titles) and Globoplay originals such as The Game and the second season of The Others during an Upfront.
The Upfront will be hosted by actor Cauã Reymond (Brazil Avenue, Land of Desire) and will see Globo execs including Angela Colla, head of international business and coproductions discuss the Brazilian company’s international activities.
On January 24, Content Americas will host the international premiere of new episodes of Globo’s Justice: Misconduct, which is now in its second season.
The series follows four imprisoned characters, who are released after seven years and need to resume their lives in search of justice. For Brazilians living outside Brazil, the second season will soon be available in Portuguese on Globoplay.
Globo will launch a crop of streaming originals on the international market at Content Americas in Miami next week, including premium dramas, a documentary series and youth-skewing scripted.
Content Americas 2024 kicks off on January 23 and runs until January 25 at the Hilton Miami Downtown. It is focused on connecting the Lat Am, domestic US and international business to develop new creative partnerships and follows the successful inaugural edition of the event in 2023.
As the 2024 event heads towards a sell-out edition, C21Media has recently announced Content Americas 2025 will take place between 21-23 January 2025.
