ABC Australia, France Télévisions, RTÉ, SBS and VRT to outline future scripted commissioning strategies at Content London 2025

ABC Australia’s Rachel Okine, France Télévisions’ Manuel Alduy, RTÉ’s David Crean, SBS’s Nakul Legha and VRT’s Elly Vervloet are the latest high-profile commissioners confirmed for Content London.

Taking part in the Content Strategies track, the five execs will deliver insights into their upcoming scripted slates, future programming priorities and international coproduction opportunities.

Their participation will highlight how global buyers and producers seek new ways to navigate shifting audience demands, funding challenges and the rapidly evolving drama landscape.

In addition to outlining their latest drama slates, strategies and partnerships, these commissioners will address the broader industry challenges and opportunities shaping 2026 and beyond.

They will share their perspectives on how economic pressures, evolving audience preferences and broadcaster strategies are redefining which projects get commissioned and why, and discuss how creative partnerships can thrive in this new era of international content development.

Head of scripted
ABC
Okine leads the development and production of the national broadcaster’s drama and comedy slates. Under her direction, ABC collaborates with top-tier creative talent to deliver bold, distinctly Australian storytelling.

Manuel Alduy
Head of cinema and young adult and international fiction
France Télévisions
Alduy oversees the broadcaster’s cinema strategy, as well as the acquisition and coproduction of young-adult and international drama. He plays a key role in curating a diverse and globally minded content slate.

David Crean
Head of drama
RTÉ
Crean oversees drama commissioning for RTÉ One and RTÉ Player, working with Irish and international partners to grow the broadcaster’s drama slate. He leads RTÉ’s coproduction strategy and is responsible for delivering a diverse range of scripted content.

Nakul Legha
Head of scripted
SBS
Legha leads scripted commissioning at SBS, overseeing flagship series, digital originals, and initiatives supporting diverse storytelling. His background includes licensing, coproductions and content strategy across film and TV.

Elly Vervloet
International drama executive
VRT
Vervloet drives the broadcaster’s ambition to create high-quality, globally resonant drama. She is responsible for forging international coproductions and positioning VRT as a key partner on the international drama stage.

This year’s event will follow the headline theme of how to Define Your Future In The New Content Economy, built around a set of core conference strands including Reaching Gen Z, Generative AI Decoded and How to Thrive in the Creator Economy.
