Decode seals pre-Mip toon deals

Canada's Decode Entertainment has inked a raft of pre-Mip deals, both for its established Angela Anaconda toon, and for new live-action and other animated properties.

German broadcaster Super RTL renewed to pick up a further 39 episodes of Angela, while TV3 in New Zealand bought season three, Cartoon Network in Japan picked up 13 new episodes of the series, and SFDRS in Switzerland acquired German-speaking rights for Angela's second season.

Sales for Decode's newer toons included deals with ABC Australia, which acquired the rights to Olliver's Adventures (26×22′).

Decode is distributing the digitally animated kids' series, produced by Halifax, Canada animation house Collideascope Digital Productions for Teletoon in Canada.

The Aussie broadcaster also signed on for the first season of King (26×22′), a new kids' animated property that tells the story of a little boy running away from real-world responsibility to find himself the king of a strange land.

Super-1 in Poland picked up edgy teen/adult animated series Undergrads (13×26'), which Decode co produced with MTV Animation.

Rounding out the toon deals, Spanish distributor LUK International signed on for Spanish TV rights to both Olliver's Adventures and Decode's newest tween series Girl Stuff Boy Stuff (52×11′).

On the live-action front, Disney Channel International acquired the second season of half-hour tween property The Zack Files for its channels in Australia, France, Italy and Asia.

Furthermore, both Foxtel in Australia and TV2 Denmark picked up seasons one and two of Decode's teen series Our Hero.
