Discovery Italia has acquired seasons one and two, while Nickelodeon in Germany and Sky Television in New Zealand have picked up the second season.

Free-to-air broadcasters Gulli in France and MBC in the Middle East will also begin to show the series from early 2018.

The deals come after streaming giant Netflix made the action comedy available to its subscribers in the US and various other territories last spring.

“The original Danger Mouse series was a hit in France and Germany almost 25 years ago. It’s great to see that our new Danger Mouse’s sharp-witted storylines and eye-catching visuals are captivating generation Z fans in Europe and the Middle East,” said Tessa Moore, senior VP, global brand management at FMK.

The show is coproduced by UK broadcaster CBBC and FMK and is animated by Boulder Media in Ireland. FMK owns the global TV and licensing rights to the series, which is set to enter its third season https://www.c21media.net/cbbc-gives-danger-mouse-third-mission/ on CBBC next year.

The reboot of the classic series launched on CBBC in September 2015. Originally produced by Cosgrove Hall Films for Thames Television, Danger Mouse aired on ITV from 1981 to 1992.
