D360 gives Summerhill MipTV debut

There’s Something You Should Know

MIPDOC: Canada-based sales house Distribution360 (D360) is bringing content from Toronto producer Summerhill Media to the Cannes market for the first time this week.

There’s Something You Should Know (6×30’) and Fish’N Chicks (3×30’) are two new shows joining D360’s MipTV slate, along with the previously announced Titanic: Stories From the Deep (4×60’).

There’s Something You Should Know is described as a fresh take on the dating genre, where in each episode one singleton chooses two dates after they’ve spoken to three prospective matches on the phone; the twist is each singleton has a physical disability.

D360 will be selling the finished episodes from season one, which aired in Canada on AMI-TV, as well as the format.

Fishing show Fish’N Chicks follows two female anglers as they meet local pros in a variety of locations and cook gourmet meals with their catch. An initial run of three episodes shot in 4K are available now, and D360 is looking for broadcast and platform partners to finance further production.

Rounding out the acquisitions from Summerhill are Manifest: Power of Thought (1×60’), a doc that explores the power of thought and how it can influence our lives, and A Perfect Cure (1×60’), an immersive and exploratory documentary detailing the emotional journey of vision loss.

Adding to D360’s growing documentary offering is Born By Fire: A Secret History of Glass Blowing (1×60’) from MarbleMedia and Murder by Shark (1×60’) from Southern Network Productions in association with Partners in Motion.
