CuriosityStream visits Planet of Treasures

Factual OTT service CuriosityStream has pre-bought a six-part documentary series that explores culturally significant locations in 4K.

Planet of Treasures has been picked up from ZDF Enterprises (ZDFE), the commercial arm of German pubcaster ZDF.

The 6×52’ series is fronted by Cambridge historian Sir Christopher Clark and goes on a tour of some of the world’s most spectacular cultural heritage sites.

It also uses laser scans and 3D animations to show cross sections of ancient monuments. German prodco Interscience is behind the project.
