CuriosityStream feels need for Arrow’s Speed

Arrow Media’s Speed will look at engineering breakthroughs

Factual SVoD service CuriosityStream has commissioned a four-part series about engineering from UK indie Arrow Media.

The service, launched by Discovery Channel founder John Hendricks in 2015, has greenlit Speed, which covers engineering breakthroughs that have transformed how fast we can travel on land, in water, through the air and into space.

The 4×60’ series covers subjects ranging from the 1801 invention of the world’s first self-propelled vehicle to the experimental Japanese train capable of travelling at 374mph.

It is the first commission from CuriosityStream for Arrow Media and was greenlit by the US-based service’s Elizabeth North.
