Cuatro preps Guess My Age celeb specials

Guess My Age tasks contestants to guess the ages of six strangers

Spanish TV channel Cuatro has extended its version of gameshow Guess My Age into primetime with the addition of four celebrity episodes.

In Guess My Age, a pair of contestants must guess the ages of six complete strangers in order to win a cash prize.

The format, distributed by Vivendi Entertainment, launched on Cuatro in Spain last August. The four new primetime celebrity specials, produced by Bulldog, will air this summer.

In addition, Cuatro has decided not to rest the show during the summer but to run fresh episodes daily in its usual afternoon slot.

Meanwhile, Chilean network Chilevision has commissioned more episodes of its version of the show, to be aired within daily talkshow Viva la Pipol. Chilevision, part of Turner Latin America, will produce the new episodes.

The format is also currently in development in Mexico, Portugal and Poland, where it is being produced by EndemolShine Boomdog, Warner and Rochstar respectively.

A first series of the show is also scheduled to start airing daily on Greece’s Skai in September, produced by Prosenghisi.

Guess My Age comes from European non-scripted prodco Vivendi Entertainment.
