CTV, Netflix partner on wedding format

Bell Media-owned Canadian commercial network CTV has partnered with global streaming giant Netflix on an original wedding-focused reality series.

I Do, Redo will be fronted by wedding expert and celebrity stylist Jessica Mulroney who will revisit wedding disasters before re-making the wedding dreams of 10 devoted couples.

Mulroney is currently a fashion contributor to Good Morning America and this is her first project with either CTV or Netflix.

The 10×30’ format is from Boat Rocker-owned Canadian prodco Insight Productions and is currently in production in Canada and the US.

It will premiere on CTV, CTV Life Channel, and Crave in Canada, and on Netflix internationally. Boat Rocker Studios holds linear international distribution rights.

The deal comes at a time when collaborations between linear channels and Netflix are in sharp focus in Canada.

Head of public broadcaster CBC, Catherine Tait, told C21 exclusively during the week that her network would seek to avoid teaming up with the streaming giant in the future despite the success of copros Anne with an E and Alias Grace.
