CTE grows Mandarin kids’ network

Pan-Asian channels operator Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE) has expanded the reach of its kids’ channel in Asia after partnering with two OTT services in Singapore.

Miao Mi, a Mandarin edutainment channel created for preschool kids across Asia, is now available on pay TV providers Mediacorp and Singtel TV’s OTT services, Toggle and Cast.

It marks the second market launch for Miao Mi, which arrived in Indonesia this January.

The channel airs animated series sourced from across Asia, including Peet: The Forest Detective, Math Fun With Ria, Peek-A-Boo, Pleasant Goat Fun Class and Miao Mi Classroom.

“Given the growing importance of Mandarin, and the desire of most parents to have their kids exposed to multiple languages, we believe Miao Mi offers great value for Singaporean families,” said Ofanny Choi, executive VP of TV networks at CTE.
