Creasey moves to Banijay Rights

Endemol Shine International (ESI)’s Matt Creasey is moving to Banijay Rights as the process of merging the two Banijay-owned distribution arms continues.

Creasey has been appointed executive VP of sales, coproductions and acquisitions for rest of world at Banijay Rights.

The exec, who will report to Banijay Rights CEO Cathy Payne, joins from ESI, where he was exec VP of sales and acquisitions.

Continuing to operate from LA, he will oversee all sales operations and the team for territories outside EMEA.

Creasey joined ESI in 2006 as director of sales, distribution. Prior to that, he was head of sales at Celador International. He will now explore opportunities across linear, SVoD and AVoD and will also handle scripted coproductions in the US and the rest of the world, alongside sales and acquisitions.

The US$2.2bn merger of Banijay and Endemol Shine was confirmed in July and Payne is overseeing the process of merging the two groups’ distribution arms.

Banijay Rights’ multi-genre catalogue now has more than 88,000 hours of content, including Survivor, Big Brother, Peaky Blinders, Temptation Island, MasterChef, Wallander, Mr Bean, The Wall, Fort Boyard and Deal or No Deal.
