Corwin to exit Endemol Shine

Charlie Corwin is stepping down as co-CEO and co-chairman of Endemol Shine North America and Endemol Shine Americas later this month.

Following his departure, Cris Abrego will take sole leadership of the company’s businesses across the US and Latin America as CEO of Endemol Shine North America and chairman of Endemol Shine Americas.

Corwin will continue to be an exec producer on several Endemol Shine Studios scripted projects, including the forthcoming drama series adaptation of The Talented Mr Ripley from Luther creator Neil Cross.

Abrego and Corwin joined the production giant after selling their respective prodcos to Endemol, becoming co-chairmen and co-CEOs of Endemol North America in October 2013. They became co-CEOs of Endemol Shine North America in October 2014, and added oversight of the company’s Latin America division in January 2016

Endemol Shine Group CEO Sophie Turner Laing thanked Corwin for his service, and stated that “his energy and humor will be much missed.”
