Corus, MarbleMedia alum joins DHX

Todd Brian

Canadian kids producer and distributor DHX Media has hired a former Corus Entertainment and MarbleMedia executive as director of development for animation.

Todd Brian is joining the firm in the newly created role to drive original animated content.

Brian was previously a production executive for Corus Kids, overseeing a slate of projects in development and production for YTV, Teletoon and Treehouse. He was also development executive for kids and family at Toronto-based MarbleMedia and senior writer at the CBC.

Stephanie Betts

At DHX, he will report to Stephanie Betts, who is being promoted to executive VP of content and current series to oversee animation development and the production slate. She will report to president Josh Scherba.

Betts has previously spearheaded DHX shows including new Peanuts content, Strawberry Shortcake, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Inspector Gadget.

She previously worked as a producer and development exec at Breakthrough Films and Television.
