Content rebrands as Kew under new owner

Kew Media Group Distribution’s slate includes BBC police thriller Line of Duty

UK distributor Content Media is rebranding following its purchase by Canada’s Kew Media Group earlier this year.

Content, which was taken over in February, will now align its branding with its parent group and appear at Mipcom in Cannes next month as Kew Media Group Distribution.

While the team remains the same, the company said further “exciting and positive changes” would be made over the coming months.

The new-look sales house will bring a catalogue of 6,500 hours of content to Cannes, including BBC police corruption series Line of Duty.

As well as Content, Kew Media quickly snapped up a clutch of other TV producers for US$104.1m, including Aito Media, Bristow Gloval Media, Collins Avenue Productions, Jigsaw Productions and Our House Media.

With offices in London, LA, New York and Toronto, the company now produces more than 1,000 hours of multi-genre content each year.

Kew remains on the look-out for further mergers and acquisitions opportunities.
