Comedy Central orders shortform animation

Comedy Central has ordered an animated series for its digital and social platforms alongside eight more episodes of Blark & Son.

Loafy follows a weed-dealing manatee at a zoo and comes from Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live, Crank Yankers, Drunk History).

As well as being the creator, writer and executive producer of the series, Moynihan also voices the main character.

Loafy is executive produced by Luke Kelly-Clyne’s Big Breakfast, which was recently acquired by Propagate Content.

Meanwhile, Blark & Son, produced by Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, focuses on a single dad and his internet-addicted son.

The new digital episodes will roll out across all Comedy Central digital and social platforms in 2020. Both eight-episode orders come with a linear development component for the series in the form of a linear pilot scrip.
