Comedy Central adds Fox animations

Seth MacFarlane’s The Cleveland Show

Viacom-owned US cablenet Comedy Central has picked up 20th Century Fox’s King of the Hill and The Cleveland Show.

The deal is for all 13 seasons of King of the Hill and all four seasons of Family Guy spin-off The Cleveland Show.

King of the Hill, which originally aired on Fox from 1997 to 2010, was created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels.

The animated show depicts the life and times of Hank Hill, his family and their neighbours in the fictional suburb of Arlen, Texas.

The Cleveland Show originally aired on Fox from 2009 to 2013 and was executive produced by Seth MacFarlane, Mike Henry and Rich Appel.

Kirker Butler co-exec produced while Kara Vallow and Brandi Young produced the series, which follows the Brown-Tubbs family headed by Cleveland and his second wife, Donna.

King of the Hill will land on Comedy Central on July 23 and The Cleveland Show will launch in the autumn.
