Cloudbabies gather over Mama TV, ivi.ru

Hoho Entertainment’s Cloudbabies is heading for Russia

Russian pay TV channel Mama TV and video-on-demand platform ivi.ru have acquired UK preschool series Cloudbabies (52×10′).

The deals were made with Russian digital content distributor X-Media on behalf of Hoho Rights, the commercial arm of the show’s producer, Hoho Entertainment

Cloudbabies follows the adventures of four childlike characters whose job is to look after the sky.

Mama TV is aimed primarily at mothers and their children and is also available in the CIS and Baltics.

Ivi.ru is described as the leading Russian VoD service and is also available in Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Georgia.

Hoho Rights had previously worked with X-Media to launch the property in the Russian language on YouTube.
