CJ ENM, Publicis form content alliance

South Korean media giant CJ ENM has teamed up with French public relations, marketing and communications firm Publicis Groupe to form a strategic content partnership.

Under the pact, named Contact, Publicis will take responsibility for CJ ENM’s global sponsored content creation and sponsorship operations in Asia Pacific in a bid to grow the two firms’ branded entertainment and global content businesses.

As part of this, Publicis will offer localised content development for CJ ENM IP and sponsorship and marketing solutions for public events such as concerts.

“The IP and content industry is consistently growing year on year for a good reason – branded entertainment and content provide an influential platform for brands to organically engage consumers who are also fans of popular culture,” said YouMi Cho, CEO of Publicis Groupe Korea.

“By partnering with the top K-content provider in Korea, our clients will have access to some of the best IP, including the Mnet Asian Music Awards, as well as commerce platforms to drive sales.”
