Cisneros elevates Blum

Cisneros Group, owner of Venezuelan network Venevision, has continued to reshape its senior management with the appointment of a president of its newly formed corporate division.

Jonathan Blum will lead the new Miami-based arm, which will oversee the strategy of all the organisation’s affiliated media and entertainment companies.

Blum has been general manager of Venevision since 2011 and will now step up to head a division that includes broadcast and pay TV stations, production and distribution operations, music and beauty pageant companies.

He was previously with Cisneros from 2001 to 2007 as Venevision’s planning director before a spell as executive director and VP of business with E! Networks Latin America.

He will report to Adriana Cisneros, who was recently promoted from vice chairman and director of strategy to CEO replacing Steven Bandel.
