Cinemax casts off Outcast

Outcast is based on Robert Kirkman’s comic

US premium pay TV network Cinemax has cancelled its exorcism drama from the creator of AMC’s hit zombie series The Walking Dead.

Outcast is based on the Skybound/Image comic by Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead) and artist Paul Azaceta. The show follows a young man plagued by demonic possession who is helped by a preacher with personal demons of his own.

It was produced for Cinemax by Skybound Entertainment and what was Fox International Studios, which aired it internationally, and ran for two seasons. Its most recent run started airing on Fox in the UK in April.
