Cineflix strikes Pure gold in Europe

Two seasons of Pure have already aired in Canada and the US

European broadcasters including the UK’s Virgin Media, Cosmo in Spain and Germany’s Sony AXN Channel have picked up drug-crime drama Pure from UK-based distributor Cineflix Rights.

The first two seasons of Pure (12×60’) have already been broadcast in Canada on CBC and Super Channel and in the US on Hulu and WGN. They follow Pastor Noah Funk who tries to rid his community of drugs and the cartels that sell them.

France’s M6 Group has also picked up the series from Cineflix for its Paris Premiere Channel.

Pure is produced by Two East Productions and Cineflix Studios and stars Ryan Robbins, Rosie Perez and Alyson Hannigan.

“With a Breaking Bad meets Witness plotline, Pure’s dark intensity and high-stakes storyline struck a chord with viewers and critics alike in the US and Canada,” said Chris Bonney, CEO rights at Cineflix Media.
